I found this razor in a little antique shop in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I was really pleased because I have not had the chance to work with a razor from Charles Kirschner before. As Mr.Kirschner’s razors date back to 1906 it is rare to find his creations in such pristine condition. He made a variety of beautiful razors at different times in his life all engraved with interesting names. Some other brand names Carl or Charles Kirschner made include ‘Cigarre’ (1896), ‘Cinderella’ (1905), ‘Condor’ (1905), ‘Dalvos’ (1904), ‘La Cepa’ (1909), ‘Orchid’ (1906), ‘Sardius’ (1906).
I have Cleaned the razor & it has left some pitting traces on the blade. There is no hone wear. There are no chips or cracks in the blade. The scales have been cleaned and pins have been tightened. The razor is beautifully honed and stropped, ready for ones face. The box is in great original condition.
