A well aged Turner Naylor & co razor with the classic tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr. Punch from the graphic novel written by Neil Gaiman. The razor dates back to the very early 1900’s.
I replaced the original scales with some lovely cocobolo ones. The spacer was made with pistachio wood. There is however some space between the spacer and the scales about 1,5mm dew to a technical fault of mine. I have adjusted the price accordingly. This will not affect the ergonomics of the handle, only cosmetically. Woods have different tolerances to sanding, cocobolo for example is very hard compared to pistachio hence the mistake I made sanding a little too quick the spacer. I sanded and polished the wood to a almost mirror finish which to me suits it amazingly. The blade has lower jimps which helps a lot with gripping the blade. Inside washers make the blade sit and rotate perfectly in and out of the scales. The outside pins and washers are made of stainless gold plated steel. This is a very nice and rare example of a Turner Naylor razor with the classic Mr punch logo. It has been honed and stropped.
